The information on FlyDirecto is for guidance only. Schedules, operating dates and fares are set by the airlines and change often: always check with the airline before you travel or buy a ticket.
Airports
Airport data (name, IATA and ICAO codes, coordinates, elevation and region) comes from OurAirports, an open database released into the public domain. We include airports in Spain that OurAirports flags as having scheduled passenger service and that have an IATA code. Heliports are excluded.
Airport names in Spanish, English and French follow the official name used by the operator (Aena or the relevant regional government). We only link to an airport’s official website once we’ve checked that the address works.
Direct routes
A direct route is a non-stop flight between a Spanish airport and its destination. Route data (airlines, months of operation, frequency and guide fare) comes from aviation data providers. Each page shows the specific source and the date it was last updated.
- Airlines: those selling a direct (non-stop) ticket on the route, according to the source. On codeshare flights, the aircraft may be operated by another airline.
- Months of operation: the months with flights according to the source. If the source doesn’t say, we tell you.
- Frequency: approximate number of flights per week in season. If the source doesn’t give it, we don’t show it.
- Guide fare: the lowest one-way fare the source has seen, in euros, with the date it was seen. It isn’t an offer or a guaranteed price: fares change daily.
A route page only exists if we have data for that route with at least one airline. If a route no longer has data, its page is removed.
Our own calculations
- Distance: great-circle distance (as the crow flies over the Earth’s surface) between the two airports’ coordinates, using the haversine formula.
- Approximate flight time: estimated from the distance (30 minutes for take-off, landing and taxiing, plus cruising at around 800 km/h), rounded to 5 minutes. It’s only a guide: the airline’s schedule sets the actual duration.
- Nearby airports and comparisons: Spanish airports less than 250 km apart as the crow flies.
Maps
Base maps come from Natural Earth (public domain). We draw them ourselves, without third-party map services, so the site stays fast and your browsing isn’t shared with anyone.
